*Must pick a reason to request an absentee ballot:
*OP I am required to be absent from my precinct all day on Primary or Election Day (7:00 am to 7:00 pm)
*D I am unable to vote in person because of physical disability.
*CG I am unable to vote in person because I am required to give constant care to
someone who is physically disabled.
*EO I am an election official who will perform official acts or duties in connection
with the primary or election.
*RH I will be unable to be present at the polls because the date of the primary or
election falls on a religious holiday which I observe.
*PS I will be unable to be present at the polls because I am required to be on duty in
my place of employment for the protection of the
Health, life, or safety of the public during time the polls are open and my
place of employment is within my precinct.
*E I am 75 years of age or older.
ADVANCE VOTING: (IN PERSON ONLY)
*No Reason Required
*A week prior to any Election.
*Advance Voting Satellite Location - Cartersville Civic Center 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Monday – Friday.
NO REASON ABSENTEE (BY MAIL ONLY) Requesting an absentee ballot by mail.
*No reason required if ballot is requested by mail.
*Must be in writing using the “Unofficial Form” provided by the state (www.sos.state.ga.us) or by written request. If requesting by mail or by fax, request must include the following: Name of person requesting ballot, identify type of election, date of birth, physical and mailing address to which ballot is to be mailed, a contact number and voter signature.
*A person temporarily out of precinct or physically disabled may have a relative make application for an absentee ballot (O.C.G.A. 21-2-212).
