The mission of Bartow County Government is to provide quality service to all citizens, to promote strategic economic development that both protects our natural resources and preserves our rich heritage, and to educate our citizenry to meet the challenges of our future so that Bartow County will continue to be recognized as one of the best communities in which to live, to work and to raise a family.
Bartow County has a sole County Commissioner who acts as the governing authority for the County. The Bartow County Commissioner is the Chief Administrative Office of County Government. All departments of Bartow County Government work under the authority of the County Commissioner except those under the authority of other elected county officials.
Bartow County is a member of the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) and the National Association of County Commissioners (NACO).
Public Meetings are conducted on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. with most official business being conducted on the Wednesday following the first Monday of the month and on following Wednesdays when necessary. A Public Notice of the upcoming meeting will be posted on the website.
