Comments:

Each monument is an aluminum disk set in concrete. Each disk has been set in a concrete cylinder, usually set flush with the ground. Or the disk has been set in existing concrete, such as an existing concrete curb, sidewalk or catch basin. Every monument disk has been stamped with a small triangle, the center point in the triangle is the survey point.  TO REACH THE STATION, GO TO THE INTERSECTION OF IRWIN MILL ROAD, FAIRMONT ROAD AND TOWNSEND TEAGUE ROAD. TURN ONTO AND THEN CONTINUE SOUTH AND WEST ON TOWNSEND TEAGUE ROAD LESS THAN 0.2 MILE TO THE MONUMENT ON THE RIGHT. THE MONUMENT IS JUST NORTH OF THE GATE LEADING INTO THE ETOWAH SPORTSMAN CLUB.

This inspection was conducted to check current condition of monument and marker.
