- Can I pay my Utility Service Bill
online if my service has been disconnected?
No, if your service has
been
disconnected, we require that you to contact the Bartow County Water
Department between the
hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, @ (770) 387-5170
for payment information or call our
On-Call Personnel after hours to restore said service. This
will ensure that no additional delays will occur and that said service
is restored as soon as possible. Using the Online Payment Option could
possibly
take 2 to 3 business days to process.
- If I am scheduled for service
disconnection,
would it be safe to pay my bill online?
No, if you have been
scheduled for service disconnection, we recommend that you contact the
Bartow County Water
Department between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through
Friday, @ (770)
387-5170 for payment information. This will ensure that no additional
delays will occur and that said service is restored as soon as
possible. Using the Online Payment Option could possibly take 2 to 3
business days to
process.
- What can I do if I forget my
Customer Account Number?
If you cannot remember
your Customer Account Number, which is required to submit an Online
Payment
of your Utility Service Bill, you can simply look at a previous Utility
Service Bill for your
Customer Account Number or contact the Bartow County Water Department
between the hours of
8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, @ (770) 387-5170.
- Can I change my Online Payment
Option Username, Password and/or Customer Account Number?
Yes, you are able to
change your Customer Username and Password. You
will have this
opportunity in the Account Setup Option of BillPay by clicking on the Update My Settings button.
This button allows you
to change your Customer Username and/or Password, make credit card
billing
address changes or modify your recurring billing settings.
- Can I change my Customer Account Number?
No, your Customer Account
Number is linked throughout our utility billing software database and
cannot be
changed.
- My current Utility Service Bill is due on the 15th
of
each month. Is it possible to change my Billing Due Date to the 1st
of the month (or vise versa)?
No, as with your Customer
Account Number, your Billing Due Date is associated with a Meter
Reading Route Book within our utility billing software database and
cannot be changed. To do so would involve
changing an entire Meter Reading Route Book.
- How
much does the Online Payment Option cost?
There is a $1.00
Convenience Fee for this Online Billing Payment service.
This fee
will be charged at the time of payment authorization.
- Do you take partial payments
using the Online Payment Option?
Yes, we understand that
there are times when partial payments are necessary, so we gladly
accept them for water and sewer payments on current account balances. However, if your account is past due, you must
contact Mrs. Amy Agnew at
the Bartow County Water Department between the hours of 8:00 AM and
5:00 PM, Monday
through Friday, @ (770) 387-5170 to make payment arrangements before
submitting a partial payment online.
- What type of payment confirmation
does the payee receive using
the Online Payment Option?
When your water and sewer
payment has been processed via the Online Payment Service, you will
receive an electronic payment confirmation. We recommend that you print
the
confirmation and retain for your personal records.
- Can I prepay my account or set up
recurring monthly payments using the Online Payment Option?
Yes, the Online Payment
Option does allow you to prepay your account. If
your account has a zero balance ($0.00) or a credit balance, you will
not
see the Pay Total Due button. You would select the Pay
Different Amount button to submit an advanced payment.
The Online Payment Option
also allows you to set up recurring payments. If
you select the Recurring Payment Option, your credit card will
be automatically charged the Total Due on your account every Billing
Cycle when a balance is due based upon the day of the month you have
selected. - How
long does it take a billing payment to process using the Online Payment
Option?
The processing time for a
billing payment submitted through the Online Payment Option is
typically 2 to 3 business days. - Is
it safe using the Online Payment Option?
Yes, using the Online
Payment Option is completely secure, using the highest encryption
methods available and at no time stores your personal credit card
information. However, Bartow County cannot be responsible for any
malicious applications that may be running on your personal computer.
Please be
sure that your personal computer is protected against malicious
activity by installing recommended security updates, patches, virus
protection, firewalls,
etc. - What
should I do with the payment stub you ask me to submit with my payment?
Although the payment stub
is no longer needed after submitting your Online Payment, we recommend
that you
retain the Customer Receipt portion of your Utility Service Bill for
your personal records along
with the printed confirmation sheet of your Online Payment. - When
is the money withdrawn from my account using the Online Payment Option?
This may vary from one
banking institution to another. For accurate account information,
please review your
bank statement. - How
far back can I review my account history using the Online Payment
Option?
At this time, our system
allows you to review the last 12 months of your Online Payment history. - What are the
system requirements for using the Online Payment Option?
There are no special
requirements for submitting your water and sewer payments via the
Online Payment Option. All you need is a computer with Internet access
and a
valid account with the Bartow County Water Department which consists of
your Customer Billing Name
and Customer Account Number. For your privacy, both items are
required to view and submit payments for your account. - Where
do I find my Customer Account Number?
The Customer Account
Number can be located on your Utility Service Bill just above your
Customer Name and Mailing Address. - Do
I have to enter my Personal Information each time?
Yes, for your privacy you
must enter the correctly formatted Customer Billing Name and your
Customer Account Number. Once you have accessed your account, you can
select the option
to remember your Personal Information. - What
other payment options do I have?
For your convenience, the
Bartow County Water Department offers a variety of payment options. In
addition to
the Online Payment Option, you are welcome to pay over the counter at
our office located @ 50 Nelson Street. If your
are paying your Utility Service Bill with cash, please
bring both sides of your Utility Service Bill and the Customer Receipt
portion will be
stamped with "PAID". With your Service Utility
Bill stub, you can submit payment through our convenient Drive-Thru
Window from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We
also have a Night Deposit Box which is
available 24 hours/7 days a week. You may also
mail your
payment or set up Automatic Bank Draft through your personal banking
institution. We do not
accept payments over the telephone! For
additional information regarding these payment options, please contact

do I contact if I have problems using the Online Payment Option?
When having problems using
the Online Payment Option, please contact Customer Support @ (877)

5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, @ (770) 387-5170. - I am getting an
error when I try to login saying my account does not exist. What can I
do?
When having problems
accessing your water and/or sewer service account, please make sure
that you are using
the correctly formatted Customer Billing Name and the correct Customer
Account Number. They must entered exactly as they appear on your
Utility Service Bill.,span style="font-family: " Arial Unicode MS"; color: red;"> - How
do I know if I am scheduled for service disconnect?
If your account balance is
past
due, the Past Due Amount will be reflected on your Utility Service Bill
as Subject to Disconnect. The Bartow County Water
Department does not mail any subsequent service disconnection notices.
Please remember that if your
service has been disconnected, there will be an additional $25.00
Reconnection Fee applied to your account and the account balance must
be paid in full prior to 2:00 PM. If payment is submitted after 4:00
PM, the Reconnection Fee is $40.00.
