The Effect of The Economy

The effect of the economy on SPLOST proceeds will require the County to prioritize the remaining 2008 SPLOST projects.  It is unlikely that all of anticipated funding for the projects will be collected, due to severe downturn in the economy; therefore, some projects will have to be scaled back and some may have to be eliminated, if SPLOST collections do not meet the estimated collections over the six (6) year collection period.
